Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Izmir airport. Fly to Igdir, and arrive in Igdır, Following your arrival, we are moving to Dogubayazit. We will visit Ishak Pasha Palace, which is frequently featured in Turkey's promotional photographs and has a view of Mount Ararat. Ishak Pasha Palace was built in 1685 by the governor of Beyazit. This place is unusual but worth a visit. It is one of the most important palaces in Turkey and it is just as beautiful. The room labyrinths inside and the structures of the complex are in good condition. It has many elements of Iranian and Western European design.
It is richly decorated both inside and outside. While its architecture resembles an Ottoman palace, its decorations reflect Seljuk, Ottoman, gothic, romantic imperial, and Caucasian influences. The library was looted by the Russians for the first time after the Ottoman-Russian war of 1828-29. The silver doors of the harem section were dismantled and taken away. After local lunch (Cag Kebab), we will continue our journey to Kars over Igdir (with a panoramic view of the city center), where we will watch the magnificent view of Mount Ararat, which is the highest mountain in our country with an altitude of 5137 meters.
Mt. Ararat has been high on the list and finally this winter, we went to see it. Two days and it did not disappoint. I would recommend visiting in the winter because the snow-covered peak and the peaks around Dogubeyazit are really special. The best views were when we took a taxi to the meteor crater on the Iranian border with Turkey. From that highway, Mount Ararat was on the left side and had the best views.
Also, great views from the meteor crater as well if you want to do both. Something surreal about this peak, and knowing it is seen from Iran, Armenia and Turkey make it even more special. Overnight and dinner at Kars.
