Your local tour guide will hand you your Ephesus Map and a Turkey Map.

The House of Virgin Mary

We will pass through the verdant and picturesque countryside before arriving at our first stop, The House of the Virgin Mary. Following the Predominant Christian tradition, Mary was brought to Ephesus by the Apostle John after the resurrection of Christ and lived out her final resting years here.

This is based mainly on the traditional belief that John came to Ephesus and the biblical statement that Jesus consigned her to John's care (John 19:26-27).

Ephesus Ancient Ruin

After The House of the Virgin Mary, we will head on to the next destination, the Ancient City of Ephesus; the tour here shall be a walking tour and will take you through one of the most magnificent archaeological sites in the entire world.

You will be able to see the Odeon, The Fountain of Trajan, the steam baths of Scholastic, the Temple of Hadrian, and of course, let's not forget the awe-inspiring library of Ephesus. The library is adorned with columns and statues. The Grand Theatre, where Saint Paul preached, is the largest in antiquity, with a capacity of 24.000 seats.

You will then return to the bus through the Arcadian Way, where Mark Anthony and Cleopatra once rode in procession. After your 2-hour exploration around Ephesus, we will head for lunch. One hour is Lunch Break.

The Temple of Artemis (Diana)

Then we will continue on tour and head on for our next stop, which is the Temple of Artemis (Diana); this unique Temple was built in honor of the Greek Goddess of hunting, wild nature, and fertility, deemed as one of the Seven wonders of the ancient world.

The Temple of Artemis used to be the largest marble temple in the ancient Greek world since it was four times as big as the Parthenon in Athens, Greece. The Temple served as both a marketplace and a religious institution.

Offerings by thousands of pilgrims each year enabled the Temple to grow so wealthy that it became the world's first bank. Today, little remains of the magnificent structure. Your guide will describe its importance, wealth, and the tension between the Romans and Christians that settled in the area over the centuries. After local lunch, drive to Kusadasi Hotel.

Today we will pick you up from Kusadasi Hotel, and we will drive to Pamukkale. It will take around 2 hours."Pamukkale translates to 'Cotton Castle'... Once you get here, it's easy to see why. This natural phenomenon, designated a UNESCO Heritage site in 1988, with spectacular white calcium cliffs and beautiful turquoise blue pools, is truly a sight to behold. Pamukkale is like an alien landscape."

Snow White Calcium Travertines, Terraces, and Calcium Pools

Pamukkale, or 'Cotton Castle' when translated, has been drawing tourists from all around the world to its thermal springs for more than 23 centuries. Pamukkale and Pamukkale Tours is one of the top Famous Turkey Trips. The Turkish name refers to the extraordinary surface of the snow-white cliffs, shaped over millennia by the accumulation of calcium deposited by mineral springs. Legend has it that the Cotton Castle formations are solidified cotton (the area's principal crop) that was left out to dry by giants.

Dripping slowly down a vast mountainside, mineral-rich water foams and collects in bowls that terrace the decline down the mountainside spilling over petrified cascades of stalactites into milky pools below. These saucer-shaped travertines (or terraces, as they're also called) wind sideways down the powder-white mountain, providing a stunning contrast to the clear blue sky and green plain below. To protect the unique calcite surface, you are obliged to traverse the area barefoot.

Although the terrace pools aren't particularly deep, you can get fully submerged if you want, don't forget your towel! Don't worry; if you don't have a bathing suit or towel, you can buy a Turkish Towel, Do not Forget is Cotton's principal crop. As a nice suvinour, you can take it away to your home. You shouldn't leave Pamukkale Tour without having a healing dip in the sacred fountain of Cleopatra's Pool.

Cleopatra's Pool:

A swim in the effervescent waters of Cleopatra's Pool should be at the top of any Turkey Travel Itinerary. Strewn about the bottom of the crystal-clear Pool is an amazing collection of striated columns and capitals, a striking reminder of the Pool's pedigree. Cleopatra's Pool has warm, clear fizzy water that bubbles from the source of the spring, but these days have now been blocked off to prevent divers from disappearing into its hidden depths.

With temperatures of 35C, you can bathe in the natural thermal mud and waters and enjoy the curative effects (both medicinal and beauty) of the water, which had previously benefited the ancient Greek and Roman peoples for centuries. This curative water, with its Thermo mineral and magnesium, calcium, carbon dioxide, sulfide, and bicarbonate, is suitable in many areas as a curative treatment.

Ancient City of Hierapolis:

The nearby ancient Hierapolis and its accompanying museums may be overshadowed by the springs, but they are also fascinating and well worth the visit. After taking a walk along the terraces, we will take a short walk to Hierapolis City, which is also known as 'Holy City.' Just outside the main entrance is the Necropolis (Graveyard), containing more than 1200 tombs and sarcophagi of people who wished to have been buried here. It was believed that the proximity of the hot springs and vapor-emitting cracks would ease their journey into the Underworld.

Among the tombs lies the Martyrium, which is an octagonal 5th-century edifice believed to have been erected upon the site where St. Philip was martyred in 80 CE. The Hierapolis City Bath, the springs of Hierapolis, was particularly popular among vacationing Romans. You will notice that carved into the side of the mountain is the monstrous Grand Theater that dominates the vista of Hierapolis. At its height, the Grand Theatre could host 25.000 boisterous fans and is still largely intact until this day.

It features a vast network of decorative elements from the 3rd century CE including a selection of ornately sculptured statues, columns, and arches, amongst other decretive elements. During Pamukkale Day Tour, you will have 2 hours of free break time to rest, take in the views, and of course, take some refreshments from the onsite cafeteria. You can use the provided Pamukkale Map and Hierapolis Map to visit other nearby sites in your allotted free time. After Pamukkale and Hierapolis, we will drive to Hotel.

Today we will pick you up from Pamukkale Hotel, and we will drive to Konya by private transfer. It will take around 4 hours. During the journey, our guide will give you information about Konya. Undoubtedly, Konya's greatest attraction is its association with the mystic Jalal ad-Din ar-Rumi, better known as Mevlana. Especially on 9 and 17 December, the Festival of the Dervishes is held, and pilgrims flock to Konya to visit the Mevlana Tekke, where the sage is buried, and to attend performances of the Sema. After lunch, drive to Cappadocia. On the way stop Sultanhan caravanserai. From Konya to Cappadocia is about 3 hrs drive. It is 243 Km/152 Miles. Sultanhani Caravanserai. The most prominent example of the caravanserai journey is the Sultanhani district of Aksaray. A two-door inn, I. Alaeddin Keykubad built it in 1229. In 1278 II. Extended by Gıyaseddin Keyhusrev, the inn consists of two parts summer and winter. The total of these two parts is almost 5000 m2. One door opens to light and the other to darkness. We always come and go, but history stands and tells us a lot on our arrival to Cappadocia.

Visit Kaymakli or Derinkuyu Underground Cities. You will have a different experience in underground cities, and you will almost go on a time travel in the tunnels of thousands of years. The supply tanks, water cellars, and rooms on the floors that reach as one descends through the tunnels that are as low as human height fascinates the spread. "During the Hittites era, it was used as a shelter during times of war, and the early Christians made the other subsection hide in later enclosures. There were two different worlds at that time. They live in houses inside the ground when they are at peace; they take shelter in the underground cities of the war. After the cleaning rooms in 1964," Stating that it opened to visitors in 2018. Ovenight in Cappadocia.

Mevlana Museum:

Which is famous all over the world with the motto "Come, come, come, whatever you are," by entering the dervish gate. The dervish cells inside the museum, the printing house, and the Hürrem Pasa Tomb, Hamusan opening to the Üçler Cemetery. After the ( Susmuslar ) gate, we made a tour of the main building, which includes the tombs of Sinan Pasa, Fatma Hatun, and Hasan Pasa, as well as the semahane and masjid sections, and the tombs of Mevlana and his family members, and in the courtyard, with the covered fountain built by Yavuz Sultan Selim in 1512, "Seb-i We complete our tour with the "Arus" pool and the fountain called sense bill. Afterward, we visit the Şems-i Tebrizi Tomb, which Mevlana calls the mirror of his soul. After our visit here, we go to our restaurant to have our lunch. And then, we will proceed to Cappadocia.

Our tour will start by picking you up from your hotel and heading to Devrent Valley, where you can see many different rock formations and small fairy chimneys that form a lunar landscape with their strange look. After a short walk in this impressive valley, our tour will continue to Pasabagi (Monk's Valley), where the most striking fairy chimneys are in Cappadocia with twin and triple rock caps.

These shapes are unique for Cappadocia and named 'mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys. After visiting Pasabagi, we will drive to Avanos, famous for its pottery craft dating back to the Hittite period. Red color clay comes from the residue of the longest river in Turkey called Kizilirmak. In one of the pottery shops, you can watch the demonstration of making pottery, or you can try to do it yourself.

We will give a break to our tour for lunch in a local restaurant to taste the various kinds of Turkish cuisine. After lunch, our destination will be Goreme Open Air Museum. Churches, chapels, and monasteries carved into the fairy chimneys from the 10th to 13th centuries A.D. will be the day's highlights, with frescos painted on the walls. You can take pictures to carry the moments for your future memories.

It is time to catch sunsets in the panoramic Pigeon Valley, hosting countless pigeons in natural pigeon houses. These pigeons contribute to locals' living with their manure to fertilize the vineyards. Our last stop is the Uchisar Castle; once used as a defense system to defeat enemies, Uchisar Castle is now one of the most prestigious viewpoints in the world. We will drive to Nevsehir or Kayseri airport for Bodrum flight.
