Enjoy the highlights of southwestern Turkey over four days: indulge in Dalyan’s mud baths and turtle beach, discover Fethiye’s charm, and explore the Lycian treasures of Xanthos, Letoon, and Patara—plus a bonus day for leisure and local immersion
Day 1: Bodrum → Dalyan – Kaunos – Iztuzu Turtle Beach
- Depart Bodrum in the morning.
- Arrive in Dalyan, cruise the delta aboard a traditional boat.
- Visit Kaunos Antique City and its cliffside Lycian rock tombs.
- Enjoy healing mud baths and warm thermal springs.
- Afternoon stop at Iztuzu (Turtle) Beach, a nesting ground for Caretta caretta turtles.
- Swim, sunbathe, and return to Dalyan.
- Overnight stay in Dalyan area.
Day 2: Dalyan → Fethiye – Ölüdeniz (Optional)
- After breakfast, depart Dalyan for Fethiye.
- Explore Fethiye Town: Royals’ Tombs (Amyntas), Roman theater, and Paspatur (Old Town).
- Option to enjoy Ölüdeniz beach and lagoon, or relax in Fethiye.
- Optional activity: Paragliding from Babadag (weather-dependent).
- Overnight in Fethiye.
Day 3: Xanthos – Letoon – Patara
- Early drive to Xanthos, ancient Lycian capital with monumental tombs and Roman theater, UNESCO World Heritage (turkeysforlife.com, travelshopbooking.com, faroutturkey.com).
- Continue to Letoon, a nearby Lycian religious center, featuring three temples dedicated to Leto, Apollo, and Artemis (en.wikipedia.org).
- Afternoon at Patara: explore the ruins (ancient parliament, theater, St. Nicholas' birthplace) and walk its 13 km sandy beach .
- Overnight near Patara/Fethiye/Kalkan.
Day 4 (New Day): Leisure & Optional Excursions → Bodrum Return
- Morning leisure in Patara or Fethiye:
- Revisit Patara beach at sunrise for a peaceful swim.
- Or explore Fethiye’s ghost village of Kayaköy, or Saklıkent Gorge, if preferred.
- Enjoy a relaxed lunch overlooking the sea.
- Free time for shopping, spa, or a seaside café break.
- Mid-afternoon departure back to Bodrum.
Evening arrival—tour concludes
