Daily Termessos - Duden Waterfall Tour

Termessos is the best preserved ancient Greek city in Turkey. It is large, with many intact ruins. The view from the hill is breathtaking. All the stones, the destroyed buildings, and the theater are magnificent. The jewel is the view from the Roman theatre.

Sometimes when you look down from the theater when it's cloudy, you predict clouds like a white carpet. Sometimes, when it is open, the Antalya Gulf, the Taurus Mountains, and the Mediterranean are under your feet. Take advantage of the Termesos tour, one of our daily tours from Antalya.

Termessos is one of Turkey's best-preserved and entire ancient cities—the city in the Antalya region, on the border of Lycia Pisidia. Built on the slopes of the mountain at more than 1000 meters on the South West side of the mountain Solymos (modern-day Gulluk Dagi) in the Taurus mountain range, which is both a national park and an open-air museum, is famous for its history, natural beauty, height, and especially the theater that has become its symbol.

The city builds on an open platform, the top of Gulluk Mountain, which rises to a height of 1,665 meters, surrounded by the travertine mountains of Antalya, which average only 200 meters above sea level. This place is in a great location. A great site has been chosen to see the enemies coming from all directions in time. It is even possible to see the center of Antalya and the sea. The ancient theater, water tanks, and sewer system will surprise you in this 2500-year-old city. Although most of the old town has been destroyed, parts still stand. You will be surprised to see how they cut and shaped those granites with the technology of that time.

The city constitutes an unusual synthesis of many rare plants and animal species protected in the Termessos National Park. Concealed by a multitude of wild plants and bounded by dense pine forests, the site has a more distinct and impressive atmosphere than other ancient cities with its peaceful and untouched appearance. Because of its natural and historical riches, the city has been included in a National Park bearing its name. During the visit to Termessos, we will have lunch close to the Duden Waterfalls.
