Aphrodisias is the city of Aphrodite. You will fall in love with it. It is a unique hidden gem of Turkey. A perfect Stadium, Monumental Gate (Tetra Pylon), Theatre, Odeon, Agora, Temple of Aphrodite, and Archeology Museum is stunning, and the most beautiful sculptures in the world are here. Laodikeia (Laodikeia) Ancient City is one of the important cities for Christians. One of the first seven churches of Christianity is located in this city.

The city is significant in being a Holy Pilgrimage Center for Christians. Laodicea is called "neither hot nor cold Church" in Revelation. Excavations started here 15 years ago, and new finds are being found daily. The West Theater once again hosted a cultural and artistic event after 1690. The change experienced in the Western Theater revived using 97 percent original materials was dazzling. You will be amazed by the size of this city, the restoration work, and the church mentioned in the Bible.

Aphrodisias Ruin

Aphrodisias was named after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of Love who had her unique cult image, the Aphrodite of Aphrodisias. The excavations have been going on since 1961, after Aphrodisias, which gained fame all over the Mediterranean world in Antiquity with its high-quality marble quarries and talented sculptors, was accidentally discovered by master photographer Ara Güler in 1958. Known as the most magnificent of the cities dedicated to Aphrodite, the goddess of Love and beauty in mythology. Aphrodisias took its place among the best sculptor centers of the Roman period.

Buildings such as the city pool, Tetrapylon Gate, Sebasteion Temple, ancient theater, and bath reflect Rome's magnificence, especially the stadium with a capacity of 30 thousand, which is shown among the best of its period, are the areas that attract the most attention. About 200 of the 1100 statues unearthed from the region are displayed in the ancient city. At the entrance of Aphrodisias, the face sculptures, some of which were made later, almost resemble a painting.

Aphrodisias Archaeological Museum

The museum, where sculptures from the excavations in the Aphrodisias Ancient City belonging to the Roman Empire period, which is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, are exhibited, takes its visitors on a journey in history and takes them 2,500 years ago. It is noteworthy that the elements of women, family, and mythology, called the "Aphrodisias school," were engraved on 300 sculptures, 80 of which were 3D relief sculptures made by the students of the sculpture school of the period.

Relief sculptures, which preserve their originality, were placed in a specially-made corridor inside the museum. They were facing the street in front of the Sebasteion Temple in the city's center when they were making. An atmosphere of that day When we examine the sculptures in detail, more mythological scenes are described in marble, where the human anatomy is reflected very well. It offers us sections from the lives of the emperors of that period. We see the victories of the emperors reflected in the reliefs.

We will have a local lunch by Aphrodisias; after lunch, we will drive to Laodicea.

Laedocia Ancient Ruins

Extremely important to visit, Laodicea is one of the unique places in Turkey. This ancient city is not just any city; it is a mega city. You'll know when you've arrived because you will look back and think, wow. And now, all that's left to do is walk for hours but don't forget to pick your jaw off the floor; it is mind-blowing. Excavations and restorations have been ongoing in the ancient city since 2003. Some 4,000 artifacts have been uncovered so far. You will visit Syria Street, Fountains, temples, Stadium, and Theatre, and discover the sacred Agora, which is home to one of the seven holy churches.
